This is the most common type of stone used by African artists and is found throughout southern Africa. The sculptures below demonstrate how versatile Serpentine can be in the hands of talented sculptors, many of whom are from Zimbabwe. Artists follow the colour, shape and contours of each rock, creating wonderfully unique pieces of art.
